Lanre Mojola

Lanre graduated with a BSc. in Estate Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Nigeria in the year 2000. He possesses an MSc Degree in Facilities & Asset Management from the HeriotWatt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom and an MBA in Facilities & Construction Management from the Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. He is also a Certified Member (CIWFM) of the (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), UK and a member of the International acilities Management Association (IFMA) USA.

Lanre possesses other professional qualifications such as PRINCE2 Project Management Certification, IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health), NEBOSH (General Certificate). Besides the above-mentioned qualifications, he is also a member of several associations such as the Association of Project Managers UK (APM), the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors UK (RICS) etc. After his first degree, he worked as a project officer at Crown Realties Plc, developers of several residential estates across Nigeria. He also worked with the Central Bank of Nigeria and Gtbank before going abroad to further his education.

During his time in the United Kingdom, he worked with Lloyds TSB Group (Asset Finance Division) in Edinburgh. Thereafter, he joined the Department for Environment, Foods & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in London as a Facilities Management Consultant to the UK government. Whilst at DEFRA Lanre acted as the sustainability champion for the London estate and was heavily involved
in implementing Defra’s Energy, Waste & Carbon emissions reduction strategy for their property portfolio across the country.

Upon expiration of his project with DEFRA, he joined Interserve Facilities Management Plc, London, in 2008, to work on the same contract. He was responsible for managing several buildings in Central London. He managed the integrated facilities management team, external service providers and their supply chain. His other responsibilities included Project Management, Performance Monitoring & Management, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management (QSHE).

Lanre has delivered several training sessions and attended conferences on Facilities & Project Management, Sustainable Operations, Recycling & Renewables, Energy & Carbon Reduction, Occupational Safety & Health within Nigeria and abroad.

He was the lead consultant that produced Facilities & Environmental Management Blueprints for State Governments and the Federal Government whilst facilitating several capacity development training programmes. A few of the public clients he has consulted for include The Federal Ministry of Environment (MOE), Kaduna State Government, Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), Lagos State Government, UNILAG Consult etc.

Asides, from his FM consultancy and Real Estate Development Company he founded 8 years ago, he has recently focused on mentoring and coaching through collaborations with several foundations. He also served as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Lagos where he taught FM courses to part-time MSC students.

He is currently the DG/CEO, Lagos State Safety Commission, the agency of Lagos State responsible for the safety of lives and property across the state. The Commission has been very active in keeping Lagosians safe through strategic interventions and regulations. When not working, he enjoys watching football & formula 1 and also loves listening to music.
